Our Beliefs

Solo Christo Affirmations

This weekend retreat is designed as a careful, Christ-centered gathering for believers who are committed to the authority of God’s Word and the clarity of the gospel, even while coming from different church backgrounds. With a strong emphasis on the sufficiency of Scripture, the centrality of Christ, and the necessity of true conversion, the retreat traces the biblical pattern of growth—from genuine belief, to tested discipleship, to mature, outward-facing witness. Each session is anchored in the real experiences of men and woman who have been transformed by the gospel, with careful exposition, aiming to sharpen discernment rather than blur convictions, and to strengthen confidence in core doctrines rather than dilute them. While participants will encounter brothers and sisters from other traditions, the weekend prioritizes a shared submission to the authority of scripture and confession that Jesus is Lord. We hope to foster a space where even the cautious can engage, be edified, and leave better equipped to serve others faithfully.

This retreat is not intended to function as a substitute for the local church, nor to compete with the authority or shepherding role of pastors, but rather to come alongside and serve them. Every element is designed to reinforce—not redirect—the participant back into the life, doctrine, and mission of their own congregation with a strengthened conviction. By fostering relationships among like-minded believers across denominational lines, the retreat aims to build trust between believers where there is often hesitation, and cooperation where there is already deep agreement on essential truths. Such connections will lead to shared ministry opportunities and provide pastors and members alike with a broader fellowship of support in an increasingly fragmented culture. Our goal is to strengthen existing churches by equipping their people, encouraging their leaders, and cultivating a network of brothers and sisters who can stand firm together in truth while serving faithfully in their own local contexts.

1. God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in being, majesty, and glory.

2. Humanity & Sin

We believe humanity was created in the image of God for fellowship with Him; yet through sin fell into corruption, depravity, and death, and cannot save himself.

3. Jesus Christ

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, who for us and for our salvation was incarnate by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, lived in obedience, was crucified, died, and buried, rose again on the third day, and is ascended to the right hand of the Father. He is God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten not made. We affirm that Jesus Christ alone is the sufficient and final mediator between God and humanity, and the only ground of our righteousness before God.

4. Salvation

We believe salvation is by God’s grace, accomplished through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and received by faith; through Him sins are forgiven, the redeemed are reconciled to God, and given new life by the Holy Spirit.

5. Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of life, who convicts of sin, brings new birth, and seals the redeemed into the likeness of Christ.

6. Church

We believe in one holy and universal Church, the body of Christ, and although the bride is diverse among the nations she is called to worship God, proclaim the gospel, and strive towards unity, holiness, and love.

7. Life in Christ

We affirm one baptism and the call to a life of repentance, faith, and ongoing obedience through the grace of God.

8. Scripture

We affirm the Bible as the unique, God-breathed witness that governs as the final authority to test all teaching, doctrine, and practice.

9. Faith

We affirm that trust in Jesus Christ is the means by which the benefits of His saving work are received and that faith is our starting point whereby we enter into God’s workmanship.

10. Grace

We affirm that salvation originates entirely by God’s unmerited favor, not in human effort, desire, or worthiness.

11. God’s Glory

We affirm that the ultimate purpose of all things—including salvation—is the honor and glory of God alone.

12. Christ’s Return & Judgment

We affirm Jesus Christ will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and that His kingdom will have no end.

13. Eternal Hope

We look for the resurrection of the dead and the everlasting life of the world to come.
